another classic example of our ambigous standard of right and wrong. greed is greed no matter how moderate your act of greed is. sabi ko nga sa naunang blog dito--"walang medyo tama" ang puti ay puti ang itim ay itim. a one peso kickback, is still a kickback. much more thus the padded NBN deal whose base amount according to Lozada should only be, $132 M... add the insisted $130 M for Abalos... it would still be only $262 M... why/how, then on earth, that the loan was made for a whooping $329 M dollars... as the inquiring Senator Madrigal, publicly probes. mga anak ng tinapa! kung di sila nasobrahan ng pagkaganid at pagkasakim, di sana sila nagkakagulo, at may pekeng kapayapaan sana ang bansa, habang tayong mga walang kamuwang muwang ay patuloy na magbabayad ng utang na pagsasasaan lamang nilang... habang tayo'y nagkakandakuba!
systemic ill of procurement system.Lozada observed that we procure projects not according to needs but according to supply. due process of procurement he says is geared towards tailoring the sponsor. add up that most of the time, these projects, originated from outside the government and not out of government plans itself. these unsolicited project proposal is the culprit of all these controversies. procurement award is given not to the lowest bidder it seems, but instead to that bidder, who had the best sponsor. irregardless, if the cost benefits the project... irregardless, even, if the project is material or immaterial.
any project under this procurement scheme would nonetheless be shrouded with controversy as what has happened to ZTE's deal, which in fact never went through any competitive selection process! aaargh... and this is not a single, individual project... other projects, mostly infrastracture ones, have undergone the same treatment... only difference was... somebody took the courage to blow the whistle in this particular scam. nagkadugasan kasi ang mga magnanakaw!
on another preposterous deal: SOUTHRAIL Project.
when asked about other projects which was consulted to him, that may also be anomalous... Lozada mentioned the SOUTHRAIL project, which was already signed and costs the Filipino people $932 M in debt (quite bigger than the NBN Project), with according to Lozada, includes, a $70 M costs in commissions.

he said that the southrail project's padded cost is permissible in his terms, as such that it only amounts to 22% of the total cost. damn. still. that is way TOO MUCH. but i forgive Lozada, he was a nobody who just wanted to earn a living and to provide a living for his family. what and whom i can never forgive are those individuals who schemed, who devised, who plays in this corruption arena... those who do the pulling of strings. well, yes, those who are on both sides of the strings.
commissions--is such a soft word to described the money these corrupt and barbaric individuals, plunders! in the case of NBN project: an almost whooping 200% commission padded the original cost... i really wonder how they can even sleep at night, or instill values to their sons and daughters and grandchildrens. such endemic moral degradation!
on Lozada's credibility.the guy is no saint. neither the senators poking at him, not even the nun-ja's i admire, nor those guys in white dress, or okey, might be not even that one bishop beside him during the presscon (bishop pabillo who is incidentally also the bishop taking care of the Sumilao farmers), not even these mediamen, definitely... not even me, personally... and not even YOU. but does our tainted background, puts us in a boxed definition? doesn't any of us then have a right to stand up for what is just, simply because we were slightly tainted before? how then that Matthew, the sinful and corrupt tax collector, became God's disciple and apostle and even a gospel writer? how then was Chavit Singson's witness against the former President Estrada, withstand the test and was believed by courts to be statement of truth and fact? LOZADA, i say is a very credible witness, enough reason, why they had to frisked him away, issue death threats, and do every means to coerce him to stay still and be silent...
GMA's chance to redemption.
a definite fact for 99.9% of us is that at one point or another we all have compromised ourselves for survival... but then again as long as we breath... redemption is always at hand... even the claiming president of today had her chances of redeeming herself... pero PUNO na madam ang taong Bayan... your only chance to redemption now, is to shed light on all controversies, repeat your I-AM-SORRY fu**ed up speech (with more practice), and pay Juan what you have plundered to my dear Juan plus the interests on what it could have amounted to if you have not put it in your own coffers instead... then graciously madam, get out of the country with the rest of your minions... for we cannot... we can never can... stop... others who's blood are steaming hot and definitely hungry for vengeance. your blood, should not... should never... desecrate our fertile lands. (may gulay, mahal na ina, hindi po ako nananakot, madami lang talagang galit sa inyo kaya pwede ba, save your petite a** and fly off to nomads land...)
